Well Deer Valley is a lot different from how it was my freshman year. It's kind of weird actually. My freshman year the school was all cool and ghetto. The classrooms were small, the halls were tile, the rules were not strict at ALL. Then sophomore year is was a whole bunch of construction, billions of false alarm fire drills, switching classrooms to temporary rooms from construction, watching the rooms become fancier with more room and smartboards. Then last year it was all finished and fancy looking and cool. :) Now it's all fancy but the rules are ridiculous and its not as free spirited as it was my freshman year but I still like DV. :)
Okay so 5 words:
-Uptight
-Spirited
-Loud
-Fun
-Diverse
Diverse is the best word to use. Deer Valley is a lot of different things and the students are very diverse as well. We have such a variety of looks, religions, ethnicity's and personalities and I really like it. :)
One REALLY cool thing is that I don't think DV has any cliques. I know some people think so but I beg to differ. People mix really well here and I think there are some pretty random groups of people who talk who you wouldn't expect from those types of people. Like I'm a super shy loner, but popular people are really nice to me. The cheerleaders are a super nice to everyone which you'd never expect. Besides a few bruises here and there, every ''type'' of kid easily gets along with anyone and I really like that. :)
Welcome

What is My Favorite Class? Which is Most Valuable For My Future?
My favorite class AND the most useful for my future both happen to be my favorite, and it happens to be THIS CLASS!:) I want to open a videography business after taking a couple classes at the film school at Scottsdale Community College. I love love love media and editing. :) I'm glad I'm in this class but I wish they had it all 4 years that I was here, not just my last 2! :( Maybe sometime in my future I can be a media production teacher on the side like Coach Larsen here at DV! That would be super cool. Or maybe if he still is teaching it here, I can come visit to talk about my career and/or to help with cool and special assignments. Now that I think of that, that sounds super cool. Just be like ''I was in this same class as you __ years ago and I learned a lot of helpful things and now I have this videography business bla bla bla and Coach Larsen is awesome!'' I want to do that now hahaha. That would be so fun to come back every once in a while! I have to convince Larsen to stay a few more years. hehehe.

I find language arts to be pointless at this point, we could have stopped after like Sophomore year because now it's just a bunch of random knowledge and not everyone is always going to speak properly and use correct grammar, and the people who will don't need to take the class.
Math has been pointless after 8th grade. I will NEVER use a bell curve, use the quadratic formula, use ANYTHING that I've learned in HS math EVER. Instead of doing pointless math classes, they should have more ''econ'' type classes because in there we learn important things like budgeting, writing checks and buying cars and houses and such. They should have maybe 1 math class, then 1 or 2 whole years instead of half a semester of econ and that's it.
History and Science are a bit pointless too, but I won't go into detail.
What I think is if we DO need to learn all the special and in between the line type things in academics, then go to college for it. Don't put all of us through the pointless things if its only useful to 1 person. If you want to be in journalism, be a writer, study literature -take the classes in college. If you want to be a scientist or chemist- take those classes in college, and so on. We should be able to pick every class every year, but oh well...it's my last year in high school and my brain is now mushed with random knowledge. But that's just what I think. :)

Thoughts On Election Results
I was kind of expecting Obama to win a second term. I'm not happy about it, but I'm not super upset like some people. I wouldn't have been happy if Mitt Romney won either because like I said yesterday, they both kinda suck. I kind of wish Romney would have won though just to see everyone freak out (good and bad) ahahaha. That would have been hilarious. But anyway, like I said yesterday, presidents don't even do work, they give work to congressmen and the military and they do it. And I really hate all these teenagers getting all wound up over politics because none of them even know what they're taking about and they are extremely annoying. I'm glad this will all settle down soon so everyone can shut up. I'm not expecting anything good to happen to the country because I don't believe anyone can fix us at this point, but I know Obama will not help at all. haha. Weee! Do I always end my blogs with ''weeee?''... I feel like I do. Hmm. Okay bye. :)

Who Would I Choose To Vote For
Well I actually could have voted today, but I didn't register to. I think both candidates suck and I'm not educated enough to vote anyway. That's my own fault because I could do research myself but it's too difficult to know what's true and isn't true and it's annoying. Also, I don't know enough about the national issues, and when I try to watch debates it's like a foreign language me and its all a bunch of blah. The presidents aren't even the ones who fix all the problems anyway, it's the congressmen. I think voting for congressmen is more important since they do all of the work. Plus, our votes don't matter. Our state people are the ones whose votes are counted. Our votes are only counted for our state issues. I don't like politics, I don't like the candidates but what I do like are all of the parodies on Saturday Night Live. It just shows how dumb both of them are. :) I really like Jay Pharoah and Jason Sudekeis' impersonations. hahahahaha :)

Deer Valley
No mater how many people claim to hate this place, I love Deer Valley. I liked it even before I got here. My mom and dad went here, I had some cousins that went here and its just... I don't know. I was always excited to get here and I know I'm going to be sad when I leave. I will be glad that I am done with high school but sad about saying goodbye to Deer Valley. I also like how some of the teachers have been here forever. That would be cool too. Ohh maybe I can be a media production teacher here! hahaha that'd be awesome. yay. :)

I turned my application in on Friday, got called Monday, had an interview and was hired Tueday! It was pretty fast. And the interview wasn't much of an interview.
